And the winner is.......Pink Voltage Neon!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

No surprise but the winner was the China Glaze Pink Voltage Neon!

I can not stop looking at my nails.
I love this combo so much, but I have a feeling that this glitter would look awesome on any color.
The camera does not show how insanely neon this pink is but it is awesomely bright!
Love it!
I did two coats of the neon but next time I will follow some advice I saw on Twitter and put down a coat of white before I put the neon polish on. It said it will make the neon colors really "pop".

(Indoor lighting)

This Cover Bands Lacquer Sticks and Stones is just a whole lot of black and white glitter goodness.
It contains large and medium hex glitter, bar glitter, square glitter, small round glitter and fine iridescent glitter. That iridescent glitter doesn't show up in camera but it adds a little sparkle especially against the black glitter.

Application was really good, I did two coats and only had to fiddle with the chunky bits a little to get them where I kinda wanted them.

Man, I think this is my favorite mani so far!
I can't wait to try out on other colors!

Ok, enough with words and onto more pics.
Keep scrolling for picture overload if you would like to.
I could not put just one picture.

So........Do you all like how it came out?

As always thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of your night!

I Need Your Help!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I got in the mail today my order of Sticks and Stones by Cover Bands Lacquers from  Ninja Polish website.
It is out of order right now but you can get on their email list like I did so they can tell you when they come back in stock!

I couldn't wait till I got this polish! I've loved it ever since since seeing Lynderella's version which is called Connect the Dots. She though has closed down her site because she didn't know how to handle people ripping off her creations. Since I couldn't get her version I decided to get this "knock off" one.

I can not wait till Wednesday till I can put it on. Why am I waiting till Wednesday you ask? I would die if, cause of my work, it chipped and ruined this manicure. This polish deserves to not put ripping at price labels all day.

Here is my problem, what base color should I use?

I love me some China Glaze!! My favorite brand!

China Glaze  Pink Voltage (Neon) Super bright neon pink!

China Glaze Papaya Punch ( It is a little but more orange than showing in picture)
China Glaze Starboard

China Glaze Shower Together

China Glaze Spontaneous

I'm leaving it up to you guys to help me decide which one to choose. Whatever one gets the most votes will be the one I will do a mani of on Wednesday!

Thank you for visiting and
have a great Monday lovelies!

Holo Teal Goodness

 Happy Saturday Everyone!

After having my dark hunger games nails, I wanted something bright and fun!
What's for fun than Turquoise Neon plus Teal Holo!

Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
China Glaze: Turned up Turquoise (Neon)
KleanColor: Chunky Holo Teal
Top Coat: Seche Vite
Stamped: Sally Hansen Insta Dry: Silver Sweep

Here is two coats of the Turned up Turquoise and two coats of the Teal Holo. I wish my lighting could do it justice cause it is so bright and holographic!

I'm really loving these holos even though
KleanColor polishes have such a weird smell to them.

I then thought it needed a little something but nothing too big to take away from this beautiful color. I was drawn to this cute little flower on my Bundle Monster BM15 plate.
I also liked it cause it had a Asian quality to it.

And here is the final result!

I placed the stamp on the far right side of my thumb to allow
for a nice area of the polish to show and glow.

I hope you all enjoy this manicure!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Hunger Games Flame Nails

Hello All,

I got inspired by Cute polish and her awesome Hunger Games nail tutorial so I decided to try it my self. IT is to represent the nails that Katniss wears.

Here is the link to her tutorial on her You Tube page: Cute Polish. This is the first time I have ever done any free hand drawing so be nice to me. LOL

In her tutorial she used a black but I decided to use China Glaze Store Cold from the Hunger Games Collection. I wish I could have left it be matte but I need to put top coat to seal in the flames decal.

I used a ziploc bag to free hand the flame designs on so that I could peel them off and apply to nails. This way my other hand will not look like a 6 year old drew on them.

I used a white first to create a base that will make the colors pop. The red is OPI Kennebunk-Port, the orange is China Glaze Breakin' and the yellow is China Glaze Lighthouse.

I let these dry for a few hours because they were "interesting" to paint and I did not want to mess up at all in case not dry. :-)

I found it easier to peel off the plastic from the fire tip end since I small amount to try to get up.

All you have to do now is place on your nails  and then put a topcoat on to seal the design in place!

Some people may feel that flame on every nail is too much so an idea is to just put on the ring fingers.

I hope you all enjoyed this design!

I can't wait till the movie tomorrow and I will be all ready with my
Tribute Tee, Mocking Jay necklace and pin!!
My friend Tiffany is even gonna braid my hair before we go to movie!
Yeah, I'm one of those crazy people. :-D

                                     Gift from my buddy Tiffany!
Thanks again!

I hope you all have a great rest of your day and as always, thank you for reading!

Half Moon Manicure

Happy Monday!

I wanted to use my new Ulta Set it Nude polish I posted about a couple days ago.
It was just screaming to be used in a half moon manicure.
It just had such a retro vibe about it.
I think it came out alright for my first time doing one.
You need to know that I am insanely picky and it annoys me that the lines and not perfect.

I started off with two coats of the Ulta Set it Nude.
I did add  a coat of Seche Vite in order to speed the drying time.

I used reinforcement labels in order to create the moon shape at the base of my nail.
I actually reused each circle. I just turned the circle around to use on the other hand. I have also seen people cut them in half but I got lazy. :-)

Ignore the index finger of China Glaze Agro, I was going to use this polish but I just didn't feel it once I saw it on. I felt I needed to go more to traditional with the red.
I actually put the tabs a little lower on the nail cause I felt it showed too much of the nude.
I suggest you play around with how much you like on yours.

I applied one thick coat of OPI Kenne-Bunk Port.
I worked one nail at a time. Once I painted on the red, I then immediately removed the reinforcement label. At times I do not think I had the tabs on totally secure cause I would have a little bleed through.

Like I said earlier, I like the turnout but I think I'll try placing each tab one nail at a time as well to ensure that the tab is stuck on well.

Are there any combinations with the nude that you think would look good? I may try your suggestion the next time I do it.

Cheeky Jumbo Nail Art Plate: B, C and I

Good day,

Today I have for you the other three cheeky plates I had gotten. I am digging the images on these a lot more than the other ones. I got these off Amazon for the intro price of $19.99, I believe they are $24.95 now.

I did some testing with them and like the other three, they stamp extremely well. Like you can tell in the pics, they do scratch when I use the metal scraper but I really don't care about that since it is not messing up the actual image.

Plate B
This has a bunch of circle designs which some people may find as repetitive but I love circle designs!

Plate C
This one has some really neat scroll like patterns and many show the reverse image to be used on opposite hand! Love it!

Plate I
I really like this one because of all the fun paisley designs! So freaking cute!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!!

St. Patty's Nails

Happy Friday Everyone!

Here in Savannah, the whole city is gearing up for the biggest holiday of the year, St. Patrick's Day!
Savannah has the 2nd largest St. Patty's Day celebration in the United States  after New York City!

So to celebrate, I have for you my manicure to celebrate this day of merriment!

This really took all my patience when it came to a couple of these designs. I was working on this last night and finally finished this morning!

I used a bunch of different techniques for this manicure, stamping, nail art tape, water marbling, crackle finish and taping.

Thumbs

On both  I used a background of China Glaze Paper Chasing.
I stamped the lips with Bundle Monster BM03 using Konad special polish in Red.

On the other thumb, I taped off the nail to make the Ireland flag. I painted the whole nail green, taped off and added white to 3/4 of nail, once dried I taped again and painted the top with the orange.
I couldn't find my plain white so I used my Konad polish in white.

The orange is China Glaze Breakin'

I used a dotting tool to write out the words on both fingers.

Index

The background is once again CG Paper chasing and I used some gold nail art striping tape. Not totally even but this was my first time using it and my finger curves in so will always look a little off. LOL

Middle

I used the water marbling technique for this nail.
I did a base of a light green, China Glaze Entourage.
For the marbling I used CG Paper Chasing, Lighthouse and Holly-Day

I then stamped the clover with Wet and Wild Black Creme. I used my M71 plate. I think I got it from the Born Pretty Store when they were offering the free Hello Kitty Plate. Maybe.

Ring

The background is......can you guess it by now.......CG Paper Chasing!
I stamped using Wet and Wild Black Creme and the Bundle Monster BM03 plate

Pinky
Do I really need to say it again....background is CG Paper Chasing.
All I did for this one was using OPI Gold Shatter Crackle Finish.

I hope you guys enjoyed this manicure and I hope you all have a safe and great St. Patty's Day!

Thank you for visiting,
Cher

OPI Gold Shatter

Glorious Tuesday!
Got a quick post for you all today!

So I wanted to do nail time yesterday but got busy with packing , so I decided to add this OPI Gold Shatter on top of the manicure of Nabi magnetic from yesterday.

I am really digging the effect it created.
The Nabi purple kind of bleed through so the gold took on a  kind of coppery color!

Well guys, thats all for now but I hope you have a great rest of your day!!

Thanks for visiting!

Nabi Magnetic Polish

Hello All,

I've had a fun busy day and what could make a day even better......Nails of course. I was too whooped to do any stamping or nail taping that I wanted to do but I did have this new magnetic polish to try out.

This is Nabi Magnetic Nail Polish. I picked it up at Walgreens for $4.99. There were a bunch of colors and 3 patterns, straight line, diagonal and chevron.

I wanted to choose the chevron since I thought the straight line was a little boring for my first time trying.

The color I chose was a purple. there is no name on the bottle but here is the number that was on the bottom:

I first put a base coat of OPI Nail Envy and then applied one coat of the polish to all nails.

Here is what it looked like with the one coat and magnet not applied:

Working on one nail at a time, I put another coat of the polish on and quickly held the magnetic cap close to the nail for a few seconds while the polish was still wet.

Unlike the China Glaze ones I read about that have a cuticle guard, these DO NOT. I did knock the cap into my nails a couple of times but once the top coat was on you could not notice it.
This chevron pattern was impossible for me to not get wavy  but I think it is still cool.

So.......Here is the weird thing.

The pic to the left is without a top coat and the one to the right is after I put a coat of Seche Vite.
It went from a darker purple to more of a violety purple.
Quite odd!

Even though it did not come out like I expected, I think it had a cool effect. I guess next time I will try the "boring" design and maybe get better results. ;-)

Have a awesome night everyone!
