My 35th Birthday Nails!

Hey Everyone!
Happy Friday April 12th!

Today is my birthday and I wanted to show ya'll what I chose to wear today!
I didn't want to do like the typical cupcakes or balloons but wanted to go out comfort zone and do something I've been wanting to try.

I wanted to have some fun and try doing some non stamped flowers.
I used a striping brush for the branches and a dotting tool for the flowers.

I guess they are kind of cherry blossom inspired.

Julep Fast Dry Topcoat

 China Glaze Fairy Dust
Konad Special Stamping Polish Black
(Since I have not set up my nail room, I am working with all my Juleps and some others. I did not have a brown in my refined stash so I took the Konad black and added a little bit of nail thinner to get it watered down to paint with a stripper brush)

You can see in above how I put the Fairy Dust just on the branches and flowers to add just a bit of bling. I think something would be wrong with me if I did not use Fairy Dust on my birthday!
Just love that topcoat.

I even did the design on my non dominant hand!
Below is the comparison of the two hands:
 Left Hand
 Right Hand
Not to bad for painting with my non dominant hand. I realized I made the flowers slightly smaller. I guess I have a rougher application of a dotting tool with the dominant hand. lol

Julep Maven Box for a Penny!

Happy Tuesday!

I know you all have seen the little ad on many blogs and even mine where says can get Julep polishes for a penny.
I decided to try it out and see if it was all true.

IT IS!
In my rush of excitement I did not get a picture of the box and how it was packaged. My Bad. :-(

I went to the site and did a short quiz to figure what category I was in. I am an "It Girl".

In my intro box I received three polishes and a free emory board.

So here is another point where i went a little weirdo. I've already lost one of my bottles and couldn't take a pic. Hence why only two polishes and not three like I just wrote.
I had done a sample mani with it and with all the unpacking.....I can not find it.

 Heather
Platinum Greige color that has a fabulous shimmer

 Helena
This Magenta ish color will look fabulous on toes for the summer!

 Mandy
A bright deep coral pink. This is a great color and I loved it when I had it on. Cant wait till I find it. :-)

The polishes alone sell for $14 so for the subscription of $20 a month, you are getting a deal. The bottles are smaller than a average bottle but each box ensures to be at least a $40 value.

If you would like to try it out for only a penny, use this link: Julep for a Penny and use the coupon code Color2012 at checkout.

There is nothing to cancel so there is nothing to lose.
I was very happy with my intro box and considering getting a subscription!

Thanks for visiting!

Julep "Time for Dessert" Mani

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I was so excited to be able to find that there was a fauxnad version of the much sought after
Konad Q1 platethat was only available across the pond.
I found this plate off ebay for under $5.

It is exactly like the Konad except they added the little candies that are on the right.

I used Julep Mandy on most of my nails and then used Jessica on my ring fingers as an accent nail.

As always I used Nail Life Gripper as my base coat and Seche Vite as my top coat.

Both of these colors worked great for my stamping as well.

This made me think of my sister when I saw the cupcake!
She is a awesome cupcake maker and you can check her
out at her Facebook page

Thank you all for visiting and have a great rest of your Tuesday!
