Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great day spent with loved ones. I will be celebrating with my Dad and hubby when he gets off work. Bird is in oven and fixings are all prepped!
Of course today's mani had to be a turkey!

I thought would be a tad much to have turkey on all nails so made it an accents with some glitter action on the others!

Happy Saturday!

having a awesome start to your weekend!

A little late on this one so forgive me.
:-)
The weekend of October 13th was the culmination of Cruisin the Coast here on the Gulfcoast .
It is basically a huge week long classic car show.
Thousands of classic cars were in town and it was awesome seeing them all around the beaches!

This post is picture heavy so I apologize in advance but I had a lot of fun with this mani.

I wanted ot include a bunch of different techniques.

I'm really proud of how this came out! love the gradient with the flames and the separation with the graphite striping tape just looks sharp.

Olympics!!

Hey Guys!

So I am a dork and LOVE the Olympics. I get all into watching the weird sports like trampoline and handball as well as the well known ones of gymnastics and swimming.

Alot of people were doing some fabulous manis that represent the rings. I decided to do a twist on that.

The color theme for the London Olympics are this fabulous plum/raspberry. I represented it with putting a base of Zoya Reagan and one coat of OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not.

I then stamped the the ring design from BM-325 with Orly Luxe
I placed the stamp differently on each nail to add some variety!

I hand painted the Union Jack.
I first painted the base with Sally Hansen White On. I used Zoya Sooki as the base red and then layered China Glaze Ruby Pumps to add some glitter. The blue I used was Butter London Blagger.

I hope you all liked this look and as always, thank you for visiting!

Go Netherlands!

Happy Friday Party People,

So you amy or may not know but the Uefa  Euro Soccer Championships are happening right now and for soccer fans, this is a big deal.
I am a big Netherlands fan so to show my support I put the Holland flag as my mani for support.
It didn't work since Netherlands are out but I still figured I'd share.

Ill next have to do some Germany nails since that is the hubby's team!
They beat Greece today so hopefully I can get them done by the next game!

Be nice cause I did the striping by hand and I am still new to it so it can be improved. :-)

Looking good with my Netherlands jersey!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!
I hope you all are enjoying the holiday and thank you to all the men and women who have given their lives to give us the freedom we enjoy!
I wanted something patriotic but also that represented the military.
I did a alternating red, white and blue water marble and camo look.

Red: China Glaze Poinsetta
White: Sally Hansen White On
Blue: China Glaze Frostbite

My fave finger that came out!

Light green: China Glaze Starboard
Darker Green: OPI Jade is the new Black
Brown: OPI You Don't Know Jacques
Black: Wet and Wild Black Creme

I decided to make it matte cause thought it looked more military appropriate
instead of being all shiny.

  Top Coat: Seche Vite
Base Coat: Nail Life Gripper
Matte top coat for Camo: Essie Matte About You

Have a great rest of your holiday and thank you for visiting!

Monarch Butterfly Mani

Greetings All,

I am a Pinterest addict and just fell in love with a gradient with a couple of beautiful Zoya colors.
I thought it would make a great base to do a monarch design on top of.

Here is the lineup:
Base Coat: Nail Life Gripper
Red:    Zoya Sookie
Orange: Zoya Arizona
Black: Wet and Wild Black Creme
White: Sally Hansen White On
Top Coat: Seche Vite

Red:    Zoya Sookie
Orange: Zoya Arizona

I used my regular gradient method of using a makeup sponge to apply on the colors.
I first painted a base coat of Arizona since it was the lighter of the two.

Did not bother to clean up since still have to do design.

To do the lines I used one of my nail art brushes. I altered one of them to make easier for me to use.
The brush with two on it had bristles that were same length as the #3 one but I just felt I didn't have much control. I used a cuticle scissor to trim it down to a length that made it easier.

I then used my smallest dotting tool to make the spots on the wings.
I thought I got these from Bundle Monster but I must not have but I found a set on Ebay for my sister for $1.89 with free shipping from China.
Awesome Deal!

I think they came out pretty cute.
Can't wait to try with other colored gradients to improve my free hand painting skills!

Thank you for visiting and I hope your Sunday is Awesome!
