I was extra excited to see that my June Mystery box came from Julep!
I am loving the deep purple.....very mysterious. :-)
It came with three colors, a top coat, Daylight Defense Lip Balm and a emory board.
Here are the details on each. The color description are taken from the Julep site:
Gayle: "Regal, deep aubergine creme. Sophisticated yet playful."
Amy: "Smoky, turquoise creme."
This is such a pretty color! I actually almost put this as an add on for my June regular box. So glad now that I didn't!
Januarly: "Retro, tomato red creme with a modern shine."
The indoor pic looks pinky but it really is a Red, like crayon Red.
Fast Dry Topcoat
This is my first mystery box and I am pretty happy with it.
I like that it is a total surprise as to what you get.
The other cool thing is that you do not need to be a Julep Maven subscriber to get the mystery box!

I just got mine today and it is similar to yours except for the colors of polish. I got Kelly a creamy shell pink, Taylor a royal blue color and Sofia, a sparkly green. I have never gotten a mystery box before. I thought you always got a limited edition color but I guess that everyone gets different things. Can you tell me if yours had seals on the bottles? Every polish I've received thus far has had a cellophane wrap on it, but three of these bottles (2 of the colors and the top coat) did not. Is that normal?
ReplyDeleteI thought I read that too about the limited edition but maybe that's only select boxes? Who knows. All of mine except the top coat had a seal.I think the seals are newer cause in my intro and may box, there were no seals. I heard that the mystery boxes are like a way to use up colors that were in regular boxes from the past couple of months. Some people have claimed that they have gotten dupes from other boxes. I especially got the mystery one since I am new to Julep Maven and figures chances of a dupe are slim.

I am new to the Maven program too, and I have read a ton about how cool the boxes are. I just joined and the June box was my first "real" box, my previous box in May was the penny box. I thought at first that everyone got the same color selections but I didn't realize that the penny boxes changed throughout the month. I have gotten some polishes that I really love, so much so that I think I am going to have to go back to acrylic nails so I can show them off. (I usually only paint my toes because I am sort of hopeless when it comes to painting my right hand and if I am trying something special I seem to mess it up.)
ReplyDeleteI think that the mystery boxes are really exciting, and I would've probably picked some of these colors for myself. I was actually thinking about ordering the Sofia color with my free voucher from my last box so I was pleased to get it. I liked that I got another lip balm because I thought the flavor was nice and I always seem to lose them. If they keep offering mystery boxes I might have to get them in place of my monthly box. I'm not sure I can afford to keep getting both (plus I was suckered into getting the Claire turquoise color as an add on to the last box because I loved it but didn't want sunblock so much so I went with the It Girl box instead.) Between Birchbox, Julep and Eco Emi I'm going to go broke, but I just don't know how to quit them!
I think you got some really nice shades too. I especially like the Gayle one. It is really pretty on I bet. I was kind of hoping they might put a magnetic one in although I guess that since they are so popular that wouldn't be something they'd be trying to push through stock of.

The only subscription box thing I do us julep. I live how all nail related. I chose the it girl box cause it's always just polishes. I'm also glad that the lip balm was included. I like the minty flavor.
